Vineyard: Pinglestone Estate
A jewel in the Vranken-Pommery portfolio, Pinglestone Estate took root in 2017 with the first plantings of what has now become 40-hectares of enchanting vineyards, comprising 23 individual blocks, planted on an incredible 360* compass. With vantage points over the beautiful, rolling South Downs, and the confluence of the River Itchen and the chalk streams of the Arle, Pinglestone Estate vineyard is symbolically perched on the hilltop between Old and New Alresford in Hampshire. This pioneering project represents a new frontier of viticulture and winemaking, and an intersecting of immense history and expansive innovation. As proud members of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain, we have a strong focus on biodiversity and land stewardship, with the textured tapestry of agroecology forming the bedrock of our regenerative farming approach. Growing Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Gris, our premium Louis Pommery sparkling wines strive to embody the idiosyncrasies of soil and site from this treasured pocket of paradise.
